Hello everyone, has anyone ever experienced something similar? As the headline indicates, everything went smoothly when I sold my house in 2022. I recently noticed two 1099s for the same amount and house everything when I logged into my IRS account. Therefore, I believe the closing agent accidentally submitted two 1099 forms. How can I address this? It really gets on my nerves. When I tried to get in touch with the closing agent, they promised to check into it, but three months have passed and they have never responded.

Hi,sis, this form reports the sale or exchange of personal property. It’s possible you sold something other than the house, such as appliances not included in the sale, which triggered a 1099-A.
