Do you think the argument that lower taxes lead to better economic activity holds up? Looking at how things work in Kenya, it doesn’t seem that way. Shouldn’t taxes be raised for a more balanced approach? Kulipa ushuru ni kujitegemea, right?
@Om
Man, if you see how the top 1% live in Kenya, it’s wild. They have it all figured out while the rest of us struggle. For them, it’s like paradise here.
The focus shouldn’t just be on how much tax is being collected, but also who’s being taxed. Essentials like food, electricity, and fuel are necessities, and taxing them heavily only makes life harder for the poor. And what happens to the tax revenue? If it’s wasted or pocketed by politicians, no amount of tax will ever improve the economy. It’s not just about taxes—it’s about how the system works as a whole.

Thomas Sowell isn’t far-right. He’s more moderate. Also, taxes should be fair for everyone, not heavier on the rich.

Sowell was a major influence during the Reagan era, which shaped conservative policies. You can’t just rewrite history to suit your argument.
@Ellis
Your point doesn’t prove anything. Sowell’s views were moderate, and Reagan wasn’t far-right either.

I could link plenty of sources calling him conservative, but you’ll deny it anyway.

Fine, call him a conservative, but that doesn’t make him far-right.
You keep dodging the truth. Just admit you don’t want to align yourself with it publicly.

People can see for themselves. Sowell isn’t far-right, and that’s a fact.
@Kelly
What’s the point of this back and forth? You both clearly have different definitions of the same thing.
Kenya needs low taxes, a smaller government, and better security for real progress. Over-regulation just stifles growth.

Completely agree with this!
