How Can I Get a CP565 Notice for Identity Verification?

I need a CP565 notice to verify my identity, but all I currently have is my ITIN. I e-filed my return in late August (after multiple submissions in March due to changes), and today I received a 5071C notice requesting identity verification. Since I filed using an ITIN, the ID.me website requires me to upload the CP565 notice to proceed. The issue is that I applied for the ITIN through a third-party agency, which only provided me with the number and didn’t forward the CP565 notice. They now claim they can’t locate it. I tried using a bank statement, but it was rejected because my ITIN wasn’t listed. Has anyone faced a similar problem? I’ve been waiting for my return for six months and could really use some help. Thanks in advance!

TL;DR: The IRS needs me to verify my identity, but I need the CP565 notice to do so. I never received the physical notice because I applied through an agency that can’t find it. What should I do?

Contact the IRS to request a copy of your CP 565, or verify your identity through a TAC office. If I’m correct, the TAC appointment line is 1-844-545-5640.
