Congress is responsible for setting up these rules and not adjusting them for inflation.
Getting the 435 House reps and 100 senators (maybe the VP) to agree on inflation-adjusting them is where you’d need to start.
It’s tough to see how anyone can really qualify for this deduction with how strict it is. I’ve got a full room set up as an office with a copier, computer, printers, monitors, you name it.
But according to the rules, I can’t even sit in there and browse online for personal stuff at all.
