Scam for sure. A letter from a CA state agency wouldn’t look like this.

You should mess with them. Give them wrong info and act like you don’t speak English well. I do it all the time with spam callers who threaten to suspend my social security :joy:.

Just call the FTB. They’ll verify if it’s a scam and may want a copy of the letter.

Always check with the official tax office to verify any balances. No one gets a seizure threat as the first notice. They’re just trying to scare you.

I’ve seen California garnish wages for less than that. They don’t mess around. Always overpay with them if you can.
